Why does the private sector, manufacturing, gas stations, restaurants, truck drivers, shopping centers etc manage to open up and do business, yet a large part of the public sector, govt, schools, etc, can't figure out how to dress properly for the cold and instead call it 'quits' , close the doors , and stay home. ? One reason perhaps. Private business has to make stuff, provide a service to make a profit, stay in business. Can't do that with the business shut down. The public sector has no such obligation. Of course, the city folks plowing the streets are out there doing their jobs, but what about the other govt folk such as the courts, and our teachers, schools.? Again, no reason to risk frostbite, to possibly suffer out in the cold, why risk it, there is always tomorrow, right? Some govt folk are on the job, but way too many are not.
