Henry Ford Community College's 22nd annual Mike Adray Memorial Golf Tournament held in mid-May at the Dearborn Country Club, raised more than $65,000.

Proceeds from the fundraiser provide college scholarships for students across southeast Michigan.

The tournament is the HFCC Foundation’s largest annual fundraising event, bringing together community leaders, business professionals, alumni and friends, organizations and companies to support the academic endeavors of students seeking a college education.

“I am very proud of the tournament’s success, especially in light of the difficult economic times we live in. The tournament’s success and the scholarships it provides students speak volumes about each sponsor and participant—and their commitment to the college and its students,” said John McDonald, chairman of the Adray Golf Committee and president of the HFCC Federation of Teachers.

During the awards dinner, HFCC President Stan Jensen thanked the event's numerous sponsors and participants for their gifts and contributions. He also gave special thanks to the event’s major sponsors: Enertron LLC, which served as the presenting sponsor; and The Adray Foundation, which served as the benefactor sponsor, the platinum sponsor and the dinner sponsor.

Henry Ford Community College serves roughly 19,000 students annually.
