Real Estate

Welcome to Your New Home, Dearborn Music!

The Dearborn staple is now open at 22501 Michigan Ave.

It's official: Dearborn Music has new digs.

After 53 years in the same location, the store reopened its doors at 22501 Michigan Ave. on Monday, in the Newman Street plaza.

Though staff are still settling inventory in at the new spot, customers are encouraged to stop by and keep shopping.

Owner Rick LeAnnais announced the move in June, citing need for a smaller space and free parking as the major reasons. The store had been at its previous location, on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Monroe Street in downtown west Dearborn, for 53 years.

There's no word on what will become of the now-empty corner spot, which is owned by local developer Hakim Fakhoury.
