Reminders About Seasonal City Services

Loose leaf pickup, Public Service Days and curbside yard waste coming to a close.

Seasonal services for Dearborn residents are coming to a close soon.

Leaf Collection

Loose leaf collection is scheduled to end the week of Dec. 2-7. Weather permitting, crews will be doing a final pickup that week of leaves raked into the street in specific districts.

The final week of loose leaf pickup will be for residents that recycle on the “A” week schedule, the city reported. Crews will be by on trash days.

Residents with the “B” week recycling schedule will have one final pickup the week of Nov. 25-Nov. 30.

If residents miss the final collection of loose leaves, they also have the option of collecting them in proper yard waste containers and setting them at the curb on trash day. This can be done through the week of Dec. 9-13, according to the news release.

Leaves and trash will not be picked up on Thanksgiving day. Seasonal collection will start again in March.

Public Service Days

Public Service Days end for 2013 on Nov. 30. Residents will no longer be required to remove their parked vehicles from the street on their trash day. However, parked vehicles must be removed from the street when a snow emergency is declared, or they could be ticketed and towed.
