Power Outage Shuts Down Henry Ford Centennial Library, CDTV

Henry Ford Centennial Library is closed because of a power outage. It has not been determined when the library will reopen.

UPDATE: CDTV was back up and running on Wednesday, while the library reopened–with power–on Friday.

A power outage has closed the in Dearborn on Monday, as well as interrupted City of Dearborn Television, according to a press release from the city.

DTE Energy has told library officials that the problem is due to a "bad splice in the underground conduit" that needs to be replaced.

Because of the outage, the Blockbuster Series movie has been canceled for Monday night.

Also as a result of the outage, City of Dearborn Television has been temporarily interrupted. Viewers of Comcast Channel 12 and WOW! Channels 10 and 18 in Dearborn will see a blank screen until power is restored at the CDTV studio and playback facility located in the library.

As an alternative, CDTV programs can be viewed at any time on the City’s website at www.cityofdearborn.org.
