Michigan Muslim Capitol Day 2012

Michigan Muslims will attend meetings with state representatives and senators from their own district, attend a luncheon with several politicians, and also watch the opening invocation of the house session by a local Muslim.

Given the current political climate and divisive rhetoric often directed toward Muslims, it is increasingly more important for all Muslims to stay active in engaging their elected officials to increase dialogue and understanding.

Rep. Dave Agema (R-Grandville) has introduced HB 4769 which seeks to limit the rights of Muslims and by default all religious practitioners. Join the Michigan Muslim community as we advocate against such bills. See more about HB 4769 here.
