Dearborn Council Approves Appointments to Boards, Commissions

Dearborn residents will serve on the Planning Commission, ZBA, and other municipal committees.

As part of its end of the fiscal year responsibilities, the Dearborn City Council took time on Tuesday to approve several appointments and re-appointments to the city's various boards and commissions.

• James M. Jernigan and Stephanie A. Smith were appointed to the West Dearborn Downtown Development Authority for terms ending June 30, 2015.

• John Morgan, Jr. and J. Scott Saionz were both re-appointed to the East Dearborn Downtown Development Authority for terms ending June 30, 2017. Emily Chimento and Mohammad A. Fahs were appointed to the EDDDA for terms ending June 30, 2015.

• Susan Hicks was appointed to the Demolition Board of Appeals for a term ending June 30, 2016.

• Gerald Stockwell was appointed to the Zoning Board of Appeals for a term ending June 30, 2014. Stephen J. Gedert, Gary L. Jefferson, and Gizela Weaver were all re-appointed to the ZBA for terms ending June 30, 2016.

• Michael D. Albano, Sean Galloway and Meredith L. Jenks were re-appointed to the Telecommunications Commission for terms ending June 30, 2015.

• Mary Bruno and Anita R. Swan-Abdulla were re-appointed to the Board of Ethics for terms ending on June 30, 2016.

• Nasser Al-Rayashi, Gary Errigo and Nancy Siwik were re-appointed to the Planning Commission for terms ending on June 30, 2016.

• Thomas Norwood was reappointed to the Board of Trustees/Retirement System, Police & Fire Revised/Chapter 23 for a term ending on June 30, 2016.

All appointments took immediate effect on June 11.
