City of Dearborn Now Taking Orders for 2012 Calendars

Orders received by Nov. 4 will be mailed to residents by Dec. 23.

Like it or not, the summer is over, which means back to school, dusting off those snow shovels and, in Dearborn, ordering a city calendar.

Orders are being taken now by the City of Dearborn for 2012 city calendars. Calendars include important events, city phone numbers, information about taxes and trash days, and more.

Orders must be made by Nov. 4 for residents who wish to have calendars mailed to their homes. Only one calendar will be sent out per household.

The city used to send a calendar to every home each, but switched last year to a by-request-only basis in order to cut costs.

Calendars may be most easily ordered online at www.cityofdearborn.org. The request form can be found on the right side of the homepage by clicking on “Order your 2012 Dearborn Calendar.” Ordering the calendar online, the city said, ensures accuracy of delivery and reduces the cost to the taxpayers.

Residents without Internet access can order a calendar by calling a voicemail box at 313-943-3003. They will be instructed to leave their complete mailing address.

Residents will also be able to find the 2012 City Calendar at www.cityofdearborn.org in January and can view or print the entire calendar or individual pages at their convenience.

Those who order a calendar should receive it in the mail before Dec. 23, 2011.
