Vandals Spray Paint Dearborn High School Football Field

Unknown suspects tag bleachers, scoreboard and press box with their support for Fordson High School.

Dearborn Public Schools officials are cooperating with police to investigate a vandalism incident that occurred at Dearborn High School on Friday morning.

David Mustonen, communications coordinator for the district, confirmed that a unknown individual or individuals spray painted "Fordson High School" and "Class of 2014" on Dearborn's bleachers, scoreboard, press box, trash cans and football field.

Mustonen said the district could not speculate who caused the damage, however the incident occurred less than 24 hours before the Fordson High School varsity football team's rivalry game against the Pioneers.

"Anytime there is damage to school property we will pursue action," he said.

Mustonen said the spray paint will be cleaned up prior to Friday's game. There are no plans to cancel the event.
