Update: Man Who Killed ACCESS Employee Sentenced to 30 to 60 Years in Prison

Suspect Kelly Michael Brady was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison today after admitting to killing Gracielita Flores in 1991.

The man who last year admitted to killing ACCESS employee Gracielita Flores 22 years ago was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison in Wayne County Circuit Court today, according to court records.

Kelly Michael Brady, 45, of Fort Pierce, Fl., was charged in 2012 for the murder of Flores, who was killed inside the city’s southend ACCESS Center on July 12, 1991.

Flores was working as a custodian inside the center when Brady entered the business in an apparent burglary attempt. Brady killed Flores while he was inside, the city reported.

Brady, who was living in Dearborn at the time of the incident, subsequently fled the state and the case went unsolved until 2012 when he confessed to the murder.

Under a plea agreement with the Wayne County prosecutor’s office, Brady pled guilty to second degree murder in front of Wayne County Circuit Judge Gregory Bill on Nov. 18.

As per the plea agreement, he was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison this morning.
