Two Injured in Collision on Michigan Avenue in Dearborn

Dearborn Police are asking for the public's help in an investigation of a two-vehicle crash that took place Monday morning.

Dearborn police officers are investigating the cause of an early morning accident on April 8 that injured two drivers.

According to a press release from the Dearborn Police Department, at approximately 8:38 a.m., a silver Ford Contour was exiting the Sunoco Gas Station at 10000 Michigan Avenue (near Wyoming Avenue and Edsel Ford Freeway) when it was struck by a red Jeep Compass traveling west on Michigan Avenue.

The driver of the Jeep suffered minor injuries and the driver of the Contour was transported to Henry Ford Hospital, where he is listed in critical but stable condition, police said.

"This tragedy maybe just another case of distracted driving," Chief Ronald Haddad said.
