Report: Dearborn Ranks 199 in Metropolitan Crime
The CQ City Crime Rankings for 2010-11 chronicle crime rates in U.S. cities with populations over 75,000.
The CQ Press' annual Crime in Metropolitan America crime rankings for 2010-11 name Dearborn as the 199th most crime-filled metropolitan city in America.
The list of 400 cities includes only those with populations more than 75,000 and is based on data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Crime in the United States 2009 report. The score is calculated based on reported incidencs of murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary and motor vehicle theft. Rankings are calculated based on a city's crime rate above or below the national average.
Dearborn ranked 17.86 points above the national average.

The annual crime report also names Detroit-Livonia-Dearborn as the metropolitan area with the highest amount of crime in the nation.
As a city, Detroit placed third on the list, behind St. Louis, MO, and Camden, NJ.

Dearborn saw a total of 4,255 property crimes and 339 violent crimes in 2009, according to . In 2010, there were 34 more violent crimes and 537 less property crimes reported in the city.
