Heaters and beer were stolen from Oakwood Bar & Grill. In another case, copper plumbing was the item of choice during a home break-in.
Bar Targeted in the Heat of the Night
Two standup propane heaters and three kegs of beer were stolen May 6 from Oakwood Bar & Grill, 17621 Oakwood.
A bar employee said the heaters were stored on an open patio and the kegs were stashed inside the building, near the kitchen.

It's believed the thief used a ladder to climb on the roof of the business in an attempt to also steal two air conditioning units. The units were damaged, but remained intact.

A bedroom window was pried open on a house in the 3300 block of Salina on May 6. About $50 worth of copper plumbing was ripped out of a bathroom and the basement.
Vehicles Damaged, Broken Into
A 2011 Camero in the 100 block of Franklin was broken into May 7. A set of golf clubs, a designer purse, a pair of sunglasses and two iPhone chargers were reported stolen.
The catalytic converter was stolen off a 2004 Cavilier in the 24300 block of Michigan Avenue on May 10.
A rear window of a 1995 Pontiac minivan in the 24400 block of Boston was shattered May 11.
