Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck by Car on Hubbard Drive in Dearborn

A 90-year-old Dearborn woman died after being hit by a car on Hubbard Drive on Friday morning, police said.

A 90-year-old Dearborn woman died after being hit by a car when she walked onto Hubbard Drive on Friday morning, according to a release from Dearborn police.

Police said the woman had walked onto Hubbard Drive near Fairlane Woods Drive at approximately 5:45 a.m. when she was struck by a gray Dodge Neon driven by a 72-year-old Detroit man.

The woman was pronounced dead at Oakwood Hospital.

Dearborn police said the investigation into the incident is ongoing, but they said it appears accidental and neither drugs nor alcohol were involved.
