UPDATE: 1 Killed, 1 Injured in Greenfield Road Accident

The women were transported to Oakwood Hospital after a car accident on Sunday evening.

Update, Dec. 27: The sisters have been identified as 22-year-old Eitedac Saleh Al-Gaithi and her 21-year-old sister, Armain Sleh-Al Mmari.

Al-Gaithi was killed in the crash, while Mmari was reported as being in critical condition, according to Dearborn police.

WXYZ reports that two sisters of a newly wed bride were injured in a car accident on Sunday evening on Greenfield Road in Dearborn.

Both women were transported to , but are not confirming the condition of either woman.

The women were on their way to the wedding reception at Greenfield Manor when the accident – involving their car and a Jeep – occurred. Police say another vehicle is believed to have been involved, but the driver left the scene and police have not been able to locate them.

The accident happened just 45 minutes before the wedding reception was set to begin, the banquet hall's manager told WXYZ.

Dearborn police are asking the driver of the third vehicle, or anyone with information on the situation, to call them at 313-943-2241.
