Four Injured Monday in Multiple-Car Accident on Ford Road

An accident involving several cars forced Dearborn police and fire departments to block off westbound Ford Road.

A multiple-car accident caused the closure of westbound Ford Road near the Southfield Freeway Monday afternoon.

The accident involving three vehicles, including two Ford Flex SUVs, occurred around 4 p.m. Multiple units from Dearborn fire stations and the Dearborn Police Department responded to the scene, shutting down half of the road near the intersection of the Southfield Freeway.

According to Dearborn Fire Department Battalion Chief John Hay, one vehicle had a front-end collision with the side of a Ford Flex, causing the Flex to flip over onto its roof. The third car had only a minor front-end collision.
