Detroit Police Chief Seeks Partnership with Dearborn Business Owners

A community meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Sept. 30 at Byblos Banquet Center.

Detroit Police Chief James Craig will meet with Dearborn-area business owners to discuss ways to combat urban crime in Metro Detroit at 7 p.m. Sept. 30.

The event will be held at Byblos Banquet Center, located at 7258 Chase Road in Dearborn. It is open to the public.

"There are some public safety concerns that involve activity which has or could occur in or around (Dearborn) that require our attention, collectively," Craig wrote in a letter to businesses.

"In keeping with the police department’s vision of building a safer Detroit through community partnerships, I look forward to discussing how we can engage in a collaborative effort to keep the neighborhoods in Detroit safe," Craig said.
