Dearborn Police Seeking Customers in Family Dollar Store Prior to Homicide

Police want to talk with two women who they say were inside store on Monday around 7:25 p.m.

Dearborn police are looking for two customers who they say were inside the Family Dollar store on Michigan Avenue sometime before a 20-year-old store worker was killed and his co-worker went missing on July 15.

Police issued a press release on Wednesday asking to speak with the two females customers who were in the store Monday at about 7:25 p.m. and 7:35 p.m.

No further information was provided at the time of this posting.

Joseph Orlando, 20, a resident of Dearborn, was found dead inside the store on Tuesday morning by officers after employees opening the store called 911 upon finding the store in disarray.

A 20-year-old co-worker, Brenna Machus of Romulus, is still reported missing.

Dearborn Police released a surveillance video and photos of a person of interest waving his arm as he entered the store Monday night with a hood over his head.

"Our investigation is ongoing and all of our resources are currently being utilized to locate Ms. Machus and identify and apprehend the perpetrator of this vicious crime," chief Ronald Haddad said.
