Retail fraud

On April 1, officers with the Dearborn Police Department were dispatched to the Walgreens in the 13000 block of Warren Avenue in response to a retail fraud in progress.

According to police reports, officers located the suspect, a 37-year-old resident of Detroit, near the area of Warren and Jonathan streets. Loss prevention staff at the store informed officers that the suspect concealed $199 worth of miscellaneous body lotions in his jacket. The suspect made no attempt to pay for the products and was stopped by security in the store's parking lot upon leaving.
