Dearborn Police Seek Hit & Run Driver

A pedestrian was injured in a hit and run accident near Ford Road and Auto Club Drive in Dearborn on March 20.

The Dearborn Police Department is asking for the public's help to catch a suspect involved in a hit and run accident on March 20.

According to a press release issued by the department, at approximately 8:20 p.m., a 38-year-old male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near Ford Road and Auto Club Drive.

The man had stepped out of his vehicle and was in the roadway when he was struck by a white sedan that fled the scene, police said. The man was taken to Oakwood Hospital, where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

“This is a terrible incident and I am confident the Dearborn Police Department together with the community’s assistance will be able to locate the driver of the hit and run vehicle," chief Ronald Haddad said.
