Dearborn Police Ask for Help in ID'ing Robbery Suspect

A woman told police she was robbed while using the ATM at Chase Bank on Monday.

Dearborn police are requesting the public's help in identifying a man accused of robbing a woman at an ATM on Monday.

According to police, the woman was conducting a transaction at the ATM at Chase Bank on Ford Road in Dearborn on Monday, Sept. 24, just after noon. She told police she was approached from behind by a man who held an unknown object against her back and demanded money.

The woman complied, after which the man drove away with the cash.

The suspect was described as a white, heavy set male with dark brown hair who is around 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He was wearing a blue shirt and blue jean shorts. The victim told police that he drove off in an older model, dark green Chevelle with rust on the body of the car.

“The community’s assistance in identifying the suspect is a crucial part of this investigation," Police Chief Ronald Haddad said. "Any information would be helpful.“
