Dearborn Police Recover More Than 200 Pills After Home Invasion Arrest

Dearborn police recovered more than 200 tablets of stolen prescription medication after arresting a man who allegedly invaded a home at about 8 p.m. Oct. 5 in the 4500 block of Chovin.

Police arrested a 48-year-old Dearborn man after he allegedly forced his way into the residence where he once lived and attempted to steal 157 alprazolam tablets, 55 hydrocodone tablets, a set of keys and $14.23 in coins.

Police said the man slurred his words and was unsteady on his feet. Officers nabbed him as he tried to exit out the back door of the home.

Police took the man to Oakwood Hospital & Medical Center where he was deemed unfit for incarceration.
