Dearborn Police: 1 Dead in Accident at Rotunda and Miller

A 30-year-old passenger was killed in an automobile accident in Dearborn last week.

Dearborn Police officials have confirmed that at least man is dead following a two-car accident that occurred near Miller Road and Rotunda Drive in Dearborn last week.

According to Sgt. Steve White, a man in his mid-30s died on April 5 from injuries sustained when the Pontiac Grand Prix he was riding in struck a Ford Windstar minivan traveling westbound on Rotunda Drive. The man was ejected from the Grand Prix upon impact.

White said the other two occupants of the Grand Prix are listed in critical condition at area hospitals. The driver of the Windstar, who is also a Dearborn resident, suffered minor injuries.

Police have information that the driver of the Grand Prix may have been racing with another vehicle prior to the accident, White said.

"We are urging anyone with any information to call the Dearborn Police Department at 313-943-2241 or people wishing to remain anonymous may call the police tip line at 313-943-3030," he said.

The names of passengers involved in the accident have not been released to the media.
