Dearborn Man Suffering with Schizophrenia Missing from Home

David Allan Dillard has been missing from Dearborn since Oct. 16.

A 51-year-old man suffering from paranoid schizophrenia has been reported missing from his home in Dearborn.

Family members of David Allan Dillard told Dearborn police that they have not seen or heard from Dillard since Oct. 16. They believe he recently stopped taking his prescription medications

Dillard is a black male, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches, 150 pounds with white hair. He was last known to be at his apartment in the area of Schaefer and Michigan Avenue.

He is known to frequent Michigan Avenue between Inkster and Detroit and could be wearing a black Carhartt jacket, a red shirt and blue jeans. His shoes are black Jordan’s with red soles.

Dillard has no vehicle or close friends with whom he might be staying. Police said he has no history of violence; however his schizophrenia does make him fearful of the police.

Anyone who locates Dillard should call their local police agency or the Dearborn Police Department at 313-943-2241.
