The $1,000 reward can be collected if the information leads to the arrest of a suspect.

The attack happened at about 6:45 p.m. on March 4 on West Jefferson, across from the Joe Louis Parking Garage following the Red Wings vs. Chicago Blackhawks game.

According to WDIV, Abraham was at the game with his son and his son's friends, who are from Chicago and were wearing Blackhawks jerseys.

The man got out of his SUV to confront the young men, which is when Abraham got involved.

"I remember telling the guy, 'Just please, go back to your car. They're just kids. They're not bothering anyone," Abraham told WDIV. "Before I knew it, I was on the ground."

Abraham was treated at Henry Ford Hospital for his injuries, receiving four stitches on his face.

The assailant was a white man, approximately 25-30 years old, of average weight and height. He fled as the driver of dark blue four-door Chevy SUV. There were three passengers in the vehicle; all appeared to be women.

The vehicle was leaving the Detroit Red Wings Riverfront parking lot (permits only) onto eastbound West Jefferson.
