Crime Report: Thousands in Electronics Stolen From Dearborn Home

A Dearborn resident of the 22000 block of Cleveland reported a break-in to her home on Wednesday, according to . The perpetrators stole more than $5,000 worth of items.
The 15-year-old son of the homeowner came home from school at 2:30 p.m. and found that the garage door was open. After realizing that two televisions were missing, the boy called his mother, who called the police.
After assessing the home, she told police that almost every room in the house had been stolen from, amounting to more than $5,000 in electronics and appliances. Stolen items included two flat-screen TVs, a Wii system, a computer and laptop, two DVD players, a vacuum, an XBOX 360, multiple video games, a surround sound system and two MP3 players.

The homeowner told Dearborn police that the last one to leave the house was her 10-year-old son, who said he had left at 9 a.m. and had closed the garage door behind him.
Neighbors in the area told police that they had not seen any suspicious activity during the day.
