A man drove across the front lawn of a Dearborn home because the intersection was blocked, police said.
According to a report, the incident occurred Wednesday evening at the intersection of Middle Pointe and Morross and left siginificant damage on new sod.
City workers were removing tree debris from the intersection when a black Lincoln Mark series approached.
The city workers told the driver he couldn't drive through the intersection, so instead he drove on the corner house's lawn to make a turn.
The home owner, who reported the incident the following day, had a video surveillance system that recorded footage of the suspect driving on her lawn and then sidewalk, but it did not provide a clear view of the license plate. The plate, however, did appear to be a michigan plate because of its blue and white colors.
