Bowling Balls, iPod Stolen Out of Car at Fairlane Town Center

The owner of a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer returned from the mall to find his driver's side door open and its window smashed.

Dearborn Police were called to the Fairlane Town Center for a reported larceny from a parked vehicle around 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 8.

According to the report, the owner of a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer returned from the mall to find his driver's side door open and its window smashed, before noticing that two bowling balls, a pair of bowling shoes and his iPod were missing from the vehicle.

Police found a flat head screwdriver on the floor boards of the driver's side, which the owner said was not his, as well as finding multiple markings consistent with prying along the window frame.

The screwdriver was taken in for evidence and held for prints, the report said. Fairlane Town Center checked their security cameras for further evidence, but nothing of value was captured.

Police do not have any suspects at this time.
