'Baby Jesus' Stolen From Dearborn Church, Returned Later

A Baby Jesus statue, worth $500, was stolen from St. Paul Lutheran Church and later returned anonymously.

Some time between Dec. 30 and Dec. 31, a Baby Jesus statue was stolen from the Christmas manger outside of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dearborn.

The pastor of the church noticed the statue was missing around 8 p.m. Dec. 31. Police searched for tracks in the snow but couldn't find any due to a fresh snow fall the previous night, the report said.

The statue, worth $500, was later returned to the church anonymously on Jan 2. Police have not found any suspects.
