Allen Park Man Arrested for Robbery of Woman at Dearborn ATM
Neil Robert Buie was arraigned Friday in the 19th District Court for armed robbery.
Dearborn Police on Friday announced the arrest of an Allen Park man in a robbery that occurred in Dearborn on Sept. 24.
Neil Robert Buie, 30, has been charged with armed robbery stemming from an incident last month during which police maintain he demanded money from a woman at the Chase Bank on Ford Road in Dearborn.
According to police, a woman was conducting a transaction at the ATM at Chase Bank on Ford Road in Dearborn on Monday, Sept. 24, just after noon. She told police she was approached from behind by a man who held an unknown object against her back and demanded money.

The woman complied, after which the man drove away with the cash.
Police have not released information about what weapon was allegedly used in the robbery.

Police credit the public's assistance in identifying and subsequently arresting Buie for the crime.
"This arrest could not have been possible without the collaborative efforts of area citizens," Police Chief Ronald Haddad said in a statement. "We appreciate their assistance in maintaining a safe community."
Buie was arraigned in front of Judge Richard Wygonik at the 19th District Court on Friday. His preliminary examination will be held Oct. 19 at 9 a.m.
