Three men have been arrested and another is still on the loose after a Monday night robbery at gunpoint in Dearborn.

According to Dearborn police, a Detroit resident's car was stolen after he attempted to buy sunglasses from an unknown group of people.

Around 7 p.m. Monday night, the man—a 21-year-old Detroit resident—drove to a Dearborn hotel in the area of Michigan Avenue and Evergreen Road in response to a Craigslist ad selling a pair of Cartier sunglasses. The man exited his car and approached a white, 2006 Dodge Charger in the parking lot, which was occupied by four men.

The transaction was about to take place when one of the passengers in the backseat pointed a handgun out his window at the man.

According to a police report, the man ran across Michigan Avenue and onto the median, where he called 9-1-1.

One of the passengers of the Charger took the victim's car and both vehicles headed east on Michigan Avenue.

Dearborn police were able to track down the Charger on Evergreen Road and arrest the three people inside, as well as recover the handgun. The fourth suspect and the victim's car could not be found.

The suspect still at large is described as a light-complexioned black male in his 20s. He was last seen driving the victim of the robbery's car—a 2004, white Pontiac Grand Prix with a Michigan plate of CES-1144.

The identities of the three arrested men have not been released, as arraignment in the 19th District Court is still pending.
