Voodoo Economics

Remember TV evangelists Reverend Ike and Jimmy Baker and host of others asking for your money that would do nothing to improve one's life. In doing so one could live vicariously through these men of God by enriching them for common folk to look on in AW.  This is the religious version of "Trickle Down" economics proposed by Republicans and their patron saint Ronald Reagan. Enrich the top one percent and that wealth will trickle down to the 99%. Pope Francis essentially called "Trickle down" economics a fraud.  George H W Bush had a similar reflection of Reagans' "trickle down" when he called it "VOODOO ECONOMICS"!    P3

Joe, and then we have Obama trickle down economics, taught and practiced by his own former pastor of 20 yrs, the Rev Wright, who , after 'Damning America' retired to a mansion in a white gated community. Trinity United Church purchased the 10,400 sq. ft home for Rev. Wright. In addition to a $1.6 million mortgage, the agreement also attached a $10 million line-of-credit. As a non-profit entity, Trinity United did not have to report any of these financial dealings to the IRS. I wonder if the Pope, or even Obama , would call the Rev Wright a one percenter, it's obvious which way the money trickled into the Rev Wright's hands. It didn't trickle down, but up. Does he deserve it?

One of George Bush's opponents running in the election against him called Bush's economic ideas "Voodoo Economics", and not the other way around Joseph.

I actually recall George H W Bush saying that about Ronald Reagan when he vying for the Party nomination for president. P3

Anyway you look at it, Trickle Down Economics" is the mantra of the political party out of touch with the American people. P3

So now we are dealing with 'Trickle Down Healthcare, the mantra of the current political party calling the shots in the White House. You are right, 'out of touch with the American people.'

BOTH parties have been out of touch with the people they are supposed to be serving for quite some time Joseph.
