Monies lost

Municipalities/cities engaged in the real estate business opens the door to opportunistic seedy conduct. Montgomery Ward was sold by the city to a crony who sat on the property and did nothing to improve or develop the land, including cleaning up the hazardous contamination on the property. The land was then sold back to the city for a substantial profit paid for by the citizen taxpayer. At about the same time, a similar scenario was playing out in the city of Mount Clemens in Macomb County.  Monies spent by cities  for such dubious activities diverts needed monies from city services. Anything but the work of genuine "public Servants".   P3
