How far does minimum wage take you?

According to the National Housing Coalition, in no single state in America can someone working at minimum wage afford to rent a two-bedroom unit at Fair Market Rent, working only 40 hours per week without paying more than 30% of their income.  In fact, in many states it would take almost double the hours just to keep the rent at 30% of income.  See the chart: Ever wonder how people manage to get by on minimum wage?
