Gino Polidori

I went to high school with Gino Polidori. We did some fishing together. Memorable times. I had a great deal of respect and admiration for Gino. He was a principled person who believed that the only way to do things was to do them right. The measure of his integrity is an example from when he was the Dearborn Fire Chief- He challenged the administration policy/practice of charging commercial building owners for city inspections that were never done. Gino's concern was for the safety of people. Because of that practice a human disaster was barely averted in the Whittington apartment fire in the early 1990s. Gino took to heart the idea of serving the public in the way we expect of elected officials. We need more like him.   P3
