Chicken Little and Sliprock

Each time there is an attempt to raise the minimum wage, beyond a plantation mindset, the boogyman reasoning surfaces  of cataclysmic consequences- jobs would be lost. Each time the minimum wage was increased those dire warnings never materialized. Contrary to Geroge W Bush's reflection, flipping hamburgers at McDonald's and Burger King are not manufacturing jobs. Contrary to the idea, only high school and college students work at fast food operations- the ranks are filled with family bread winners who are depended on to bring home the bacon.   P3
