Two interesting stories last week: scientists are rushing to develop a new breed of chicken that can withstand a heated planet. The chickens we know and eat today could not survive hotter conditions.  Honey bees are dying in even larger numbers. Honey bees are an essential component of our food chain. During 2005, is several different locations, I saw large numbers of honey bees buzzing on the ground. stressed and in  death throes.The erratic climatic conditions have the human foot print firmly planted on the back of nature and the essential to life.   P3
