1. Captain Philips

Starring: Tom Hanks, Max Martini

Plot: The movie follows the true story of Capt. Richard Phillips (Tom Hanks) and the 2009 hijacking by Somali pirates of the US-flagged MV Maersk Alabama, the first American cargo ship to be hijacked in 200 years.

2. Gravity

Starring: George Clooney, Sandra Bullock

Plot:  Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) is a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney) in command of his last flight before retiring. But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone--tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness.

3. Romeo and Juliet

Starring: Douglas Booth, Hailee Steinfeld

Plot: William Shakespeare’s epic and searing tale of love is revitalized on screen by writer Julian Fellowes and director Carlos Carlei. The story follows two star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families.

4. Rush

Starring: Chris Hemsworth, Daniel Bruhl

Plot: A re-creation of the merciless 1970s rivalry between Formula One rivals James Hunt and Niki Lauda.
