Community Update

Just an FYI, this place is in receivership and is falsely advertising it's liquidation sale as a 50th anniversary sale. We ordered a kitchen table and chairs in July of this year. After being told we'd get the items in 6-8 weeks we waited. In November we called about the order and has to go to store as messages went unreturned. We were told that the items were being shipped from China and they were terrible at delivering things on time but we would have the items by Thanksgiving. We explained that when we purchased the stuff we were told it was made in N.Carolina. Never the less he continued to tell,us the salesman made a mistake. After seeing the 50th anniversary sale guys standing by Fairlane mall I had the feeling that something was not right. I went home and called Moss to get a status update on the delivery date and was told that the items would be in sometime after Christmas. I then asked for my money back and was told that I could come and pick something off the floor. My wife and I went down to the store and confronted the made in China story man who stated he didn't remember us. To make a long story short the police were called and we are certain we will never see our order and will lose our $500. We were told by employes who met us in the parking lot, in front of the police officer, they felt terrible for us. We were told that there are people that ordered thousands of dollars of furniture in January of this year that will never see there furniture or their money. Moss has been taking orders without a line of credit from the companies they rep for hence their inability to secure furniture for people. The police officer told us he had been on his current beat for 8,months and didn't even know the store was there but in the last week he'd been called there 3 times because of irate customers. What a fraud they are perpetrating on the public. They have a company from Texas that specialize in furniture store liquidation selling stock and actually bringing in stock from other liquidated stores into the Moss location and advertise as a 50th anniversary sale. I hope word gets out about this retail fraud.
