Free Spay Day at the HYPE Recreation Center

All About Animals Rescue and the HYPE Recreation Center are Partnering For Free Spay Day

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI -- On Friday, April 5, 2013, All About Animals Rescue and the HYPE Recreation Center are partnering for a FREE Spay Day. A fixed pet is a healthier, happier pet!

All About Animals Rescue has been taking appointments for the last  month. Licensed veterinarians will be in a state-of-the-art mobile surgery van. If needed, rabies and distempered vaccines, and a dewormer for roundworms and hookworms are included with the spray/neuter. Owners are asked to bring their pet’s latest vaccine history.  This will help the veterinarian how to best serve the pet.  

Catherine Garrett, Director of Development and Marketing for All About Animals Rescue said, “we’re excited to work with an organization like HYPE and it’s community. We have almost 30 appointments scheduled so far.”

We want to thank Cheryl Phillips, a volunteer who is employed by Masco Corporation, and Justin Cessante, Director of Community Relations, HYPE Recreation Center for bringing this partnership to life.

Free Spay Day will be held at the HYPE Recreation Center, Friday, April 5. The HYPE Recreation Center is located at 23302 W. Warren Ave., Dearborn Heights, MI 48127.

The HYPE Recreation Center (HRC) is owned and operated by HYPE Athletics Community (HYPE), a non-profit organization.  HYPE was established in 2001 with a mission to strengthen the infrastructure of Metro Detroit families through athletics, physical fitness and social services.  Over the last 11 years, HYPE has served over 95,000 youth and families throughout Wayne County.

The HRC is a state-of-the-art facility with five full-sized basketball/volleyball courts, a co-ed and women’s only weight training rooms, 1/8 mile indoor track, computer lab, library, two classrooms, a childcare room and a café.  Membership benefits include a free fitness assessment, over 70 free fitness classes (boot camp, zumba, cardio beats, core training, kid’s zumba, get-fit), free homework assistance & tutoring, mentoring, 2 hours free daily childcare, open gym and more.
