WATCH: Dearborn Shelter Lets the Dogs Out for 100K Flash Mob
The animal shelter raise awareness of their efforts to win the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Rachael Ray $100K Challenge.

On Tuesday afternoon, it was the , which brought human and four-legged supporters to the steps of for a "100K Flash Mob."
The flash mob invited staff, supporters and volunteers of the shelter to help shine the spotlight on their attempts to win the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Rachael Ray $100K Challenge. Participants handed out 100 Grand candy bars, held up signs encouraging people to vote, and did their own rendition of "Who Let The Dogs Out?"

The hope is that more visibility will lead to more votes in the national competition.
The $100K Challenge is an opportunity for animal shelters across the country to save more lives and get rewarded for it. It's a competition that inspires shelters and their communities to come up with innovative ways to save at least 300 more dogs and cats within a three-month period than were saved during the same three months the year before.

The Dearborn Animal Shelter could win between $5,000 and $125,000.
The only way for the Dearborn Animal Shelter to get into the $100K Challenge is to ask the community to vote for the organization. There are 108 shelters vying for the challenge and only the top 50 vote-getters will advance.
Votes can be cast one time each day through midnight April 16.
