Meet Magee at the Dearborn Animal Shelter

This American Bulldog mix is available for adoption from the Dearborn Animal Shelter.

Cats and kittens have been a focus this month at the , but their canine friends need homes, too.

One definitely worth adopting is Magee. This sweetheart loves to greet with a lick in return for belly rubs. He's a 2-year-old American Bulldog mix with a big, smiley face and faint black spots on his short white coat.

He did well in his temperament testing, but may do best as an only dog.

The adoption fee for an adult dog such as Magee is $140. Adoption fees include a basic medical exam, behavior assessment, age-appropriate vaccinations, parasite and worm check, spay or neuter, microchip ID, travel box, and pet care information.

Adopters are also eligible for pet insurance from PetFirst HealthCare at an introductory price of $5 for the first month. The price includes accident and illness coverage with any veterinarian. Adopters must register their pet within 20 days of adoption by calling 866-937-PETS, or visiting www.petfirstadoption.com.
