Cellar Door Keeps it Clean at the Dearborn Farmers Market

Lavender patchouli, ginger fizz, chai latte, peppermint mocha–those are just some of the tantalizing scents available from Cellar Door Soap Company, a vendor at the .

Locally made with mostly Michigan-bought materials, the soaps are friendly to animals, the earth, and the skin of users. Bars are made with love and care–and it shows, from the scents to the packaging.

“Making soap is a lengthy process," explained creator Brandon Mitchell. "I make about 12 batches at a time in a given day and then they cool for 24 hours before I can cut them. Afterward, the soap cures for a full month before I can sell them."
