This pit bull terrier mix is available for adoption from the Dearborn Animal Shelter.

A pit bull-terrier mix, Bruce is 2 years old and loves to exercise and play. He did well in his temperament testing with a trainer, but is quite strong–something to keep in mind during walks. He has a short, tan-colored coat with white markings.

The adoption fee for an adult dog such as Bruce is normally $140, but has been reduced to $100 through the Luv-A-Bullz program. Adoption fees include a basic medical exam, behavior assessment, age-appropriate vaccinations, parasite and worm check, spay or neuter, microchip ID, travel box, and pet care information.

Adopters are also eligible for pet insurance from PetFirst HealthCare at an introductory price of $5 for the first month. The price includes accident and illness coverage with any veterinarian. Adopters must register their pet within 20 days of adoption by calling 866-937-PETS, or visiting www.petfirstadoption.com.
