Not your typical Easter dinner

Who said you had to have ham on Easter???????

There are times when I actually believe I'm the biggest ham fan ever.  I love ham.  Spiral ham is my favorite and it's been on the menu for my Easter dinners for, well, 40+ years.  It's just what's for dinner on Easter Sunday.

Not this year, nope, not a ham!  I love to cook and really do look forward to doing the holiday meals.  This year though, a ham just didn't seem fun.  I wanted the gathering of family to be more than just a "traditional" gathering.  So, instead of telling everyone what was on the menu and what time to be at my house, I asked what they might like to have.  I made sure they knew anything was an option.  If we're going to gather and celebrate a holiday and each other, let's do it the way we want.  So we did.

This year, my Easter dinner was bbq spare ribs, cheesey potatos, homemade baked beans, corn and brussel sprouts.  This year we sat where we wanted, held our plates on our knees and cheered on the Tigers!!!!!!!!!!!  It was one of my favorite holidays so far and, it was fun!
