Halloween Weekends at Camp Dearborn Begin Oct. 11

Weekend events include magic shows, hayrides, pumpkin carving and a haunted house.

There's still time to reserve your spot for the annual Halloween Weekends at Camp Dearborn, which will run for three weeks beginning Oct. 11.

The Dearborn Recreation and Parks Department has added a third weekend at Camp Dearborn, due to the popularity of the family-friendly event held the past six years.

This October the weekends of 11-13, 18-20 and 25-27 are reserved for the holiday festivities.

Halloween Weekends offer families an opportunity to expand on the fun and excitement of Halloween by booking a tent, cabin or RV site for a weekend filled with activities in a safe environment.

Programs include a pumpkin carving contest, hayrides, haunted house, face painting, costume parade, scavenger hunt, campsite decorating and trick-or-treating.
