Two Stray Female Dogs Reunited With Owner

The two dogs found on Pardee Ave. near Van Born last week were reunited with their owner on Friday, according to Christie Little, who posted a notice about the lost dogs on the Dearborn Patch Boards Jan. 2.

The mixed-breed females, Nikki and Mandy, were found last Thursday huddled under a snow-covered bush in a Dearborn Heights resident's backyard. Only one of the dogs was wearing a collar and neither had identification tags, though they both were microchipped.

Nikki and Mandy were reunited with their owner-- who was in town from Texas to visit her father --on Friday, after a neighbor recognized the missing dogs in a Facebook post, Little said.

The dogs went missing on Wednesday afternoon.
