It's Back! Dearborn Farmers Market Starts 2012 Season Friday
The market will run from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. every Friday through Oct. 26 next to the Bryant Library.
The bustle of local shoppers, the sounds of live music, the smells of fresh bread, veggies and jam–the Dearborn Farmers and Artisans Market returns for the 2012 season starting Friday, May 25.
The market, presented by the , will run every Friday from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. through Oct. 26. It is located in the parking lot just west of the in downtown west Dearborn.
Children's activities, live music and cooking demonstrations will return to the market for 2012. But this season will also feature several new vendors and unique opportunities, according to Market Manager Joan Reed.

New Vendors
New discoveries will greet market visitors every Friday at the Dearborn Farmers Market.
New vendors include Perkins Pickles and Slow Jams Jam, both regulars at Detroit's Eastern Market. The Corridor Sausage Company of Royal Oak will sell fresh artesian sausages at the Dearborn market periodically.

Dearborn's own will also join the market for the entire 2012 season, offering fresh-baked pizza and pepperoni rolls.
CSA Raffle
A partnership between the market, Dearborn Thai restaurant and Living Stones farm will make Community Supported Agriculture available to marketgoers each week.
CSAs allow individuals or groups to purchase a "share" of a farm's produce, resulting in a weekly delivery or pickup of fresh fruits and vegetables from the farm.
Reed explained that Bangkok 96 purchased two CSA shares from Living Stones, which have been donated to the Dearborn Farmers Market.
"Whatever is brought will be raffled off," said Reed.
More Evening Markets
Due to the popularity of previous evening market sessions, the Dearborn Farmers Market will host three such events this summer on Tuesday evenings. Those will take place June 19, July 17 and Aug. 21 from 4-7 p.m.
