Spaghetti dinner fundraiser to help woman in her battle against rare cancer

CARLETON, MI – The family and friends of Gina (Farino) Waddell are planning a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Oct. 2 in Carleton to help in her battle against a rare form of skin cancer.

The fundraiser is from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2, at VFW Post 4093 located at 700 Carleton Rockwood Road, Carleton, Mich., 48117. A raffle will be held during the fundraiser, with many great prizes, including a signed hockey stick from Red Wings great Joe Kocur, a University of Michigan football signed by the coaching staff, and much more.

Waddell is battling a rare form of skin cancer that has metastasized to her lung. Her diagnosis of Stage 4 cancer came at a time when her family lost all medical benefits. Proceeds from the fundraiser will help pay for her medical costs and care as she fights for her life.
