The Material Girls Hosts Singer Featherweight Presentation

The Singer 221 sewing machine "Featherweight and Me" is the topic of a presentation taking place this Friday, April 25 at 1 p.m. in West Dearborn. Local historian and collector Henry Czerwick will have several of the vintage Singer Featherweights on-hand and will discuss the history, maintenance and differences of the legendary machines, which are still highly sought by quilters.

The event is being hosted by The Material Girls, LLC and will be held at 1850 Grindley Park, Dearborn, Michigan 48124. There is no charge to attend.

The fascinating side-by-side comparison of Singer 221 sewing machines will even include one that is not painted black, and a "big sister" to the little Featherweights will be featured, too. There are reasons why the Singer 221 is still such a popular sewing machine, come and learn more.
